Why Review An Independent Practitioner?

I thought id do a quick post about reviews and word of mouth work…
When I give care or when someone requests me to support them not only do I feel privileged and honoured and all the feels, I also want others to know that there are other ways to receive care and support through pregnancy, birth, feeding journeys and parenthood!
I myself have been on the receiving end of super support in various areas of my life and I have always then referred people onto those who assisted me…this word of mouth referral system works so well not only for other women and families looking to seek out superb care and guidance but it also helps that small independent practitioner.
- The amount of times I’ve had people say to me “I wish id known about you before” when their feeding journey got off to a poor start (commonly due to inadequate initial input) OR “id have loved to have had you as my midwife – having all my visits at home would have been ideal and so much more personalised.”
No amount of preparation can ensure the exact idealistic pregnancy or birth journey – Mother Nature doesn’t work that way, but….we can prepare for all kinds of deviations and pathways that may arise and help you manage them so you are more in control and feel like your own advocate.
- Supporting small independent businesses in particular those in health care services also helps ease up pressure on NHS systems, this is a longevity issue not just short-term. The more we can work together, educating and learning the better outcomes are.
- giving or leaving reviews means more seen posts, blogs, websites etc to allow other parents to be to know what’s out there that can be trusted, that may be alternative to what they know (or have been told)
I always state to please leave a review however you found my service provision because transparency is important and communication to be able to improve is vital for great care.
